Traffic Monitor All traffic passing through the BisBox can be monitored and analysed. The user can access the traffic information through a web interface and extract portions of data that can be analyzed and filtered later. Reports on network traffic can be produced and filtered according to various parameters to simplify troubleshooting and/or network analysis. Report Filtering can be done on category fields like Protocols, Source/Destination, IP Traffic Subnet Matrix and more. Network flow generated by certain routers and switches can also be monitored. Reports are produced in RMON-like formats wherein computer users and/or the host OS can easily be identified. The system requires limited configuration and administration. It also utilises limited hardware resources like CPU and memory, although this will vary according to the network size and traffic. |
